In The Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ

I sat down to write my Bible study blog this week and couldn’t remember what I had posted last time. So, I jumped over to to see which chapter was up next. When the page loaded, I was greeted by a hacker message that said, “In the Name of Allah” and “We Love Fighting Against Israel and America,” compliments of Brilliant. It also said, “Iranian hackers at their bests.” (Yes, that is how they spelled best.) Not so much. If you missed it, here’s a screen shot of the page.

The blog will be back up and running soon – sorry for the delay while persecuted for Jesus, America, and God’s chosen people. As easy as it can be to chuckle and blog this off, it was a bit astonishing to me. The grand majority of us don’t feel persecution in America – and this was a far cry from true persecution – but it was a nudging reminder that it’s coming.

Friends, the day has arrived and we can no longer side-step issues that do not align with God’s Truth. We can’t be passive about conversations and “bow out” when the spotlight turns to us on our position. Pray long and intensely about this because the Lord needs His warriors prepared; we are in the midst of a Babylonian culture of corruption!

We must “be alert and of sober mind” (1 Peter 5:8). We must be on guard and stand firm in our faith (1 Corinthians 16:13). We must be ready to stand for our King, no matter the price.

There is a cost of discipleship in America. Whether you spend your days in the living room picking up toys, in the class room teaching students, or the conference room with the business leaders…be ready to respond (and not react). When you are called to give an account, remember that America doesn’t need any more haters in this world. Colossians 4:6 is a passage that has churned in me recently: “Let your conversations always be full of grace and seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” What a flavorful scripture to engrave on our hearts so that we exude God’s grace when we speak, and are also full of seasoning!
